Charles E. Hixon - Senior Metallurgist

Charles Hixon has more than 20 years experience with root cause failure analysis. This experience includes failure investigations of both metals and non-metals in corrosive service. Mr. Hixon has specific experience in welding, heat treating and materials technology for oil & gas drilling and production applications, including production tubing, casing and downhole motor failures. . He is also skilled in the use and application of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in support of failure analysis and fracture identification.

Prior to joing The Hendrix Group, Mr. Hixon held responsible positions with Southwestern Laboratorties, SEI Heat Treat, Cummins Recon Tool-Hycalog, and Hughes Tool Company. He is an active member of ASM International. Mr. Hixon graduated with Special Distinction from the University of Southern Colorado with a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering Technology and has an MBA from the University of Houston.
