Copper wires for electrical machines tend to oxidize from about 250 degrees. Is it necessary to use nickel plated wire if an electrical machine is to be used at 250 centigrades and at high pressure? The machine will most likely be oil-filled, so there will not be much oxygen in the machine. Which oil is not yet specified.
