Dear Sirs, if possible I would like your help. I have a Inconel base material and when I try make a Austenitic SS (ex: 347) seam weld over inconel material, I have a lot of cracks. Why this happens? What can I do? Many thanks in advance. Luis

First off, what is the base material, Inconel 600, 625??? Are you using filler metal to join the two dissimilar base materials (Inconel xxx to Type 347)? What is the weld joint detail? What is the location of the cracks and orientation? Many questions that need to be answered before help can be provided.
