Dear All, We are facing problem of cracks in welding of CS and SS using ER309 welding wire. Can we use ER316L wire ? This problem is occurring again and again . Anybody pl. reply soon Thanks and regards,

Hi there Mumtaz Fatigue cracking in welds could well be delayed by a correction in weld wire type. However another solution or indeed fatigue life extention could be achieved very well with shot peening surely. Have you considered such a solution? Chris
