We use circulating sea water as the cooling medium in process plants. The system was originally designed with 1.3 cycles of concentration. Now we are operating at 1.8 cycles keeping the return temperature the same. Does anybody have experience in operating with 1.8 cycles?

If the cycle of concentration is more then there is a chance of more amount of deposit in the system which in turn will foul the exchanger tubes.
