It appears from NACE TM 0194 that both the SRB culture ( serial dilution method ) test and Biocide efficiency test at Lab need to be performed at temperature within +/- 5C of the field fluid (water) temperature. Field fluid temperature can be 60C - 80C. This indicate testing simulation close to field fluid which looks very rational. But it appears in practise that most of the SRB kit and biocide vendors recommends testing to be performed at room temperature or upto around 35C. I need a discussion with the approach of testing at room temperature and would like to know any lab or agency in India or overseas can do SRB culture and biocide effciency test at close to field temperature of the order of 60C - 80C or more. regards
