Like to have your inputs on corrosion & cracking susceptibility on CS circulating high pH ( 9.5 - 10 ) water containing ammoniacal specis ( NH4OH) which forms due to incompatibility between O2 scavenger and Biocide Quats amine . Temperature approx. 110C need your advises regarding alkaline SCC suspetibility and what could be the threshold ppm of diisolved ammonia responsible for this ? Pl. help

CS is not a suitable material if ammonia species are present at 110 Deg,C. If the operating temperature is at ambient then CS can survive subject to weld PWHT.Better to choose 304L due to handling of Amine to avoid SCC at 110 Deg.C.
