"It is true that SCC for carbon steel would be INTERGRANULAR cracks while Stainless steel is TRANSGRANULAR? Or both? Where should I get more details on this regards?"

Answer:

Caustic stress corrosion cracking can be either intergranular or transgranular in both stainless steel and carbon steel. The information on caustic cracking is voluminous. Try NACE International's bookstore at http://www.nace.org.
