Dear Sirs, I have been trying to convince one of our valve vendors that tack welding is not allowed on martensitic 13Cr. They have argued that this statement is not in our specification and therefore we have no basis. BS 1873 and BS 1868 states "Tack welding may be employed to prevent loosening (see BS 3351)." My problem is that I don't have a copy of BS 3351. Can someone please give me info on what BS 3351 states about tack welding? Your help is much appreciated. Thank you, Pearlite
