"Type 303 and Cracking"

"Does anybody know of an articles in industry standard literature or other source that discusses the tendency of type 303 toward cracking based on the presence of Manganese-sulfide inclusions in the structure. I know for a fact that type 303 has poor transverse ductility based on the presence of these inclusions, both during hot and cold forming. However, I need something in published literature to support this point."
Answer:
I am aware that manganese sulfides in 303SS increases the pitting tendency and that 303 is susceptible to chloride SCC, as are the other austenitic stainless steels; however, we have no literature references on hand to cite. If you are interested in a literature search on the subject, we could help with that.
