Hi chakra Hydrogen sulfide condenses at the vapor space and the air ingress between the metal shoe works as electrolyte to let sulfide pitting corrosion happened. Only corrosion control here is to coat the outer rim vapor space section. Tank corrosion is very important to be understood. Mark Mor

It is not unusual to have corrosion at crude tanks vapour space by H2S condensation drops. To avoid this corrosion one has to create a protection barrier through a proper painting system. Luis Marques

Dear Lima If you add some slop to your crude Tank sure you will face vapor space slufide corrosion I have some Pictures If you intersted Thanks
