hello material is used for pipe line and wellhead facility in sour service , shall meet the NACE MR0175 . According to part 1.3.33 of this standard , mr0175 not apply to refinery. if we want select material for amin plant of refinery we sould use which standard? thanks

Actually you are asking about the design. If you are interested tell what equipment you want vessels or heat exchangers or piping system. From my vision this is general question make it specific and I could help you a lot. Also, depend in the temperature and the pressure. Thanks Mark Refinery corrosion engineer

hi tank you for your answer. we want to designe filter separator.it will instal for filtering of feed of sour gas treating plant by use of amine. d. temp. =70c d.press.=78bar tanks

Other considerations may be ammonium bisulfide, amine Corrosion, etc. (proper metallurgy and/or water wash injection will be needed). You may want to consult a corrosion engineer with experience in designing Amine Units. Good Luck Scott123
