Hi, I am hoping someone can help me out in finding the max allowable stress (S) for SA-264. I have looked through ASME section II part D with no luck. Does anyone know where i might find this info. Thanks in advance, Harv

Sir: The maximum allowable stress (MAWP) is temperature dependent. You would have to state a maximum design temperature to receive accurate information. David Hendrix The Hendrix Group Inc.

Allowable stresses, limits and other ASME acceptabilty criteria are frequently contained in what is called an "ASME Code Case" These code cases are, in effect, interim notices of acceptance for a particular material. These code cases are incorporated into the text and appedices of the ASME Code during the next revision. You may be looking for information contained within a code case... A place to look and ask would be the people at Trinity Industries..... they have supplied tank & pressure vessel heads fabricated from clad SA-264.. See www.trinityheads.com/materials.htm Hope that this helps... MJC
