Are there any corrosion concerns when storing Citral in a 304L SS bulk storage tank - The tank would be at ambient conditions in the north east. There would be a nitrogen blanket on the vessel.

John: Type 304SS should be able to store Citral with no problems under your stated conditions. I would use the "L" grade of 304SS. Hope this helps! David Hendrix The Hendrix Group Inc.

John As suggested by Hendrix, S.S 304 L may be OK for your service conditions with nitrogen blameting. Better still if u can think of S.S 316 L if some contaminants are presnet in the oil to be stored from long storage use. Hope this helps C.V.Srinivasan Nishi Engineers Pvt Ltd Chennai India E-mail:nishi@vsnl.com June 02,2005 >John: > >Type 304SS should be able to store Citral with no problems >under your stated conditions.
