What is the difference between Austenitic 300 series SS and marutex. Pls include comments about corrosion and strength. Thanks and regards, Julio Pascual

MARUTEX is basically Cr-Mo Martensitic SS can have Swedish Spec. X30CrMo13-2. It has got excellent corrosion resistance and HID resistance much better than 300 series austentitic SS. It can be applied in high corrosive and saline aggressive enviro. It has got superb T.S in the form of wire as high as 670 N/mm2. Usually Marutex is used as drilling & load bearing Screw and having strength values as high as CS. regards

But I believe that it is magnetic and what is the expected hrs for the typical salt spray test?? Is it able to last longer than the 300series? Mark
