I make a body valve in stainless Cast steel ASTM A 743 Gr CF8M. I have a problem with a micro orosity in hidrostatic Test. I make a Dye penetrant check in the body and any defects is revelated. I would like to know How Can I controlled this problem?

Aguinaldo: Your question is not easily answered without knowledge of the following information: the shape and size of the casting, the location of the gates and risers, the pouring temperatures, the location of the microporosity, etc. If you are having a systemic problem with casting SS, you should consult with a local expert in foundry technology.
