A study on the effect of night covers in commercial supermarket refrigeration, shows that when the night blinds are lowered for extended periods of time, the refrigeration load and power use are reduced, the compressor operates at a slower speed, and less refrigerant flow is required to maintain the temperature setting of the display case. see: http://www.econofrost.com/free_reports.html R.
