Hello We are interested in using SPRINGS of Inconel 750 material for high temp. appln (550C). As e have difficulty in getting the same the supplier has offered 50CrV4 as an alternate. But this has low chromium content and is not suitable. Can anyone suggest a suitable material which can withstand close to the above mentioned temp.? TIA

I think you are interested about X750 ( UNS N07750) material having 73% Ni. But for your mentioned temperature of 550C this MOC may not be a suitable choice. Better to use a solid solution type Alloy 617 or 625 type material regards DM >

bk: Alloy X-750 can be used as high as 550C, depending on your strength requirements and its heat treatment. Alloy 718 is also an alternative worth considering. Hope this helps! David Hendrix The Hendrix Group Inc.
