Hi everyone!! I%C2%B4m new both in here and in my company.. I%C2%B4m going crazy trying to understand where the difference is betwen this 2 standards. As I had known the ASTM standards are for moulded steel and AISI for forging..Is it right? can I certify an AISI standard? Thanks a lot!

No. ASTM is an international standard for material specifications and testing. AISI used to have a separate designation for ferrous materials until about 30 years ago. AISI is no longer used for specifying material, the unified number system (UNS) is used for identifying metal type under an ASTM material specification.
