Hi! I have several questions: would 304L will be galvanic corroded is welded to 316L? I have failed 304L, now I am looking for weldable-higher Ni Stainless Steel to improve the corrosion resistance, without causing/ being galvanic corroded by 304L. Thanks for helping this! CITA Additional info: The material is one and a half inch spool pipe. Length 6 inch only.

I had experience with a 316L shell being welded and failing at the weld after short term immersions in sea water. We found the fault lied in the welding; a 304 welding rod was being used.
