Hi, We have cemented line fire water and it is leaking frequently at a localised location. Has any one experience this ? and could any body tell me what other material could be used for fire water system apart from GRP? Regards, Ali

Ali: We assume that you are referring to a cement lined carbon steel firewater line. If the leaks are localized, digging up the piping and conducting a repair may be the best course of action. If the piping is leaking, the cement was probably breached at that location. We know of no other competetively based substitutes for underground piping at firewater system pressures. Hope this helps!
