SA 240 Gr. 304 contains 18-20% Cr and 8-11% Ni. SA 240 Gr. 316 contains 16-18% Cr and 10-14% Ni. This indicates 316 contains more Cr than 304. But if 316 is more corrosion resistant than 304, and Cr is the prime element responsible for this, then should not 316 contain more Cr? Thank you very much in advance. Regards, Sharjeel
