hi dear i have little information about TOFT can you help me? my question : can i test a cladded plate wit TOFT instead RT? best regard

TOFT is really TOFD is time of flight diffraction using ultrasonic testing. This is a volumetric examination method where scanning produces essentially a 3-D image of the weld. I do not think you need TOFD for this application. A combined L-wave and shear wave ultrasonic test method should suffice. You should be interested in the fusion zone of the weld to check for lack of fusion or cracking.

thankx gwg i wan%60t check cladd with TOFT . i need to apply RT . can i test cladded plate with TOFT instead RT? is TOFT capable on cladde plate? best regard
