I'm from plastic injection mould fabrication field. Recently I face an issue which the "slant ejector" (other name which called lifter or up & away) of few different moulds was bent during mass production (injection) & stuck inside the mould. The slant ejector's steel material is PX4 which equivalent to 2738. After nitride the HRC of the block material is around 60. The slant ejector size = width 40mm, length 350mm & thick 16mm. The overall mould temperture is around 80 degree celcius. The core insert material = P20 equivalent 2738 also. The mould base material is S50C. Anyone can tell me why (root causes) the block still can be bent? I need your valuable answers to explain to my customer later. Beside that, anyone can provide me the material properties comparison for ASSAB 718Hi Hard & Daido Steel PX4? (must apple to apple) I look forward to your quick feedback. Thanks & appreciated. Regards,
