Dear ALL, Does anyone from Petrochemical or Refinery has any operating field experience of conducting any NDT Inspection for corrosion under insulation (CUI) --- please share. regards DM

Debasis: Methods that we are aware of for directly or indirectly inspecting pipe for CUI include: 1. Selectively removing insulation for visual examination 2. Long wavelength eddy currents 3. Lamb (surface) wave UT 4. Profile radiography 5. Infrared inspection for wet insulation. Hope this helps! David Hendrix The Hendrix Group Inc.
