Ali: Refiners have many solutions that are used. Some typical ones are alloying to a CRA to prevent corrosion, using water washes to dilute the corrosive fluid, using neutralizers, including ammonia, NaOH and various propriatary chemicals (usally amines) from the major suppliers. Many use a combination of the above. Hope this helps! David Hendrix The Hendrix Group Inc.
