Dear We have KCS ( Killed carbon Steel ) Heat exchanger. We have a temperature of 360'C and 9kg/cm2(a) pressure. Can any body tell me what will be the Pressure at 120'c. Best regards, Mumtaz

Dear Mumtaz, Please specify the following. 1. what is the material grade? 2. Why do you need the pressure correction? Normally the pressure correction is considered while conducting the Hydrotest pressure testing at the ambient temperture, where the design pressure is specified as the higher temperatures. You can take the help of the allowable stresses at the various temperatures and calculate the pressures considering the equipments other design parameters.
