Hi Forum, We ahve 2 no. 19000 kl floating naphtha storage tanks. Tank srtuctures need painting! what safe methods we can use for removing the existing paint coat? Regards, BR Kamath

You can do Manual Surface Cleaning of ST2 grade by non sparking wire brushes and chisels . Donot attempt hard to remove intact paints. After that you can apply suitable self priming-surface tolerant high build Epoxy Mastic system with a optional top coat of PU. After they make ST2 surface please inspect the degree of cleanliness and also check the residual average paint film thickness. regards DM HPL
