Hi Everybody, I want to understand the basic difference between the two NACE standadrs - MR-0103 & 0175. How big is the effect on equipment metallurgy if MR-0103 is to be complied with, instead of MR-0175?

Dear mhksgs, MR-0175 is for oil & gas field / upstream equipment having more corrosive impact whereas MR-0103 is devised for application in downstream field like refinery, petrochemicals where corrosive impact is less than upstream segments. Obviously there are some typical differences. It is better to once go thro' pages of these two recommended practices. You can also visit different forum discussions in this regard. regards
