to certify a pipe as API 5L grade B certain chemical & mechanical parameter needs to be satisfied in accordance with MR-0175. There can be condition when one is not getting any manufacturer data sheet or track record due to any mishap. But if the pipe is well stored and complies with basic chemical and mechanical performance data ( live analysis reqd.) and if the visual condition is upto the mark I think ( in case of exigency or if one does not find any immediate alternative ) an user can take consensus decision under due discussion with Process, Inspection, Technology and if practicable with Licensors to use the pipe. regards and others pl. opine.
