Hi everyone, I would like to know what kind of ion are responsible for galvanic corrosion ? Would galvanic corrosion appear in any ionic solution or only if there are some specific ion in ? Thanks for your help ! Helene

Thanks for helping but actually i would like to know from which concentration of ion will occur the galvanic corrosion. Does it depends on the ions in the solution or are we observing this kind of corrosion each time a galvanique couple is put into a ionic solution ?

Ion Chloride, Ph, and conductivity all they affect galvanic corrosion. To minimize this type of corrosion your Ph should be kept around 8, conductivity should be less than 5.100 micro S/cm and chloride level should be less than 1.2 ppm. Luis
