We have faced with severe failure in steel structures in ammonium nitrate plant .To investigate the root cause of these failure we need some information regarding the possibility of stress corosion cracking due to nitrate. Material of the structures are ST37(A36 ).Your comments with this subject would be appreciated.

Dear All, Nitrate stress corrosion is a possibility. However, I don't have much knowledge about this particular topic. Some good articles are available in internet at following address. .
