I will be thankful if I can get below said information 1) IGC Test standard for 17-4PH material. 2)Preweld Heat Treatment to be carried out on 17-4PH Material. 3)Postweldment to be carried out on the 17-4PH weldment. Thanking you. Regards, Mukund Joshi

Mukund: ASTM E262 lists different IG tests for stainless steels. Re pre and post-weld heat treatment, normally 17-4 does not receive pre weld heat treatments, except for perhaps warming to RT if welded in cold weather. Typically, post-weld heat treatment is also not required if a previously precipitation hardened heat treatment has been given. Hope this helps! David Hendrix The Hendrix Group Inc.
