Hi Everyone, I want to find some solutions to remove corrosion due to detergent scum on 304 stainless steel. I tried to remove it as many ways as I can with commercial products. but it was in vain. Some vendor says that it is impossible to remove detergent scum by which was caused corrosion of stainless steel. Is there any solution to remove this detegent scum on stainless steel? Thank you

The detergent scum can easily be removed, but if there is pit corrosion or etching under the scum this cannot be removed unless you mechanically remove it or use hazardous chemicals. There are other sophisticated electrical apparatus that can be used very effectively, but you need to purchase the equipment and know what you are doing.
