Hello Together! I am looking for an american standard which discribes the test method for dezincification of brass in the USA. As far as I know in Europe we use EN ISO 6509. Does anyone know, which test is used in the US? Thank you very much for your help!

This is a bit of a guess but... ASTM 1384 is commonly used as a test used for brass 9and other materials) involving a salt solution and a measurement of weight loss in a coupon. It is used by companies selling corrosion inhibitors for cooling systems. Anybody else ??? -MJC
