We need to protect yellow brass (CA260) pipe fittings from corrosion by solutions of formate and acetate salts in soft water. Solutions are mildly alkaline (pH 9 to 10 as made). Metal is either fully or partly immersed. Solutions circulate at 40-50 psi. What are best pH range and buffer system to use for best corrosion protection here? Also, please recommend inhibitors that we can try for this system. Thank you.
