Hello I'm considering purchasing a pure water window cleaning system. The system pumps pure deionised water (<5 parts per million Total Dissolved Solids) through a telescopic pole to a brush which is then used to scrub window glass and window frame. It can also be used to clean other areas of the building exterior e.g. cladding. The water is applied liberally to the surface to be cleaned and I am concerned that the water may damage the customers building e.g. window frames, window hinges, seals, cladding, brickwork etc. Is this a valid concern ? thank you in advance, craig_mcd

Craig: That's pretty good water you are planning on using. It should not present a problem from a corrosion point of view. All waters can rust carbon steel; however. This response does not address "hidden" problerms from water intrusion. Hope this helps! David Hendrix The Hendrix Group Inc.
