Hi, i'm investigating a corrosion problen in aluminium fuel tanks used in propeler airplanes. Metal is directly in contact with fuel (high octane airplane gasoline), pits appeared on the deformed and lower area of the tank, aditionally it presented a very advanced corrosion process arround the drainage (where water is mostly present) Have anyone a similar experience?, where can i find some references?, is there a standard for fuel tanks? (material, coatings...) Thank in advance for yours great comments. Eduardo Caracas - Venezuela
