Can anybody please guide me on the following issue. We have quench oil exchangers which show heavy deposits (coke+others) on opening for hydrojetting and cleaning. I have collected some deposits for analysis. Which API/ASME/NACE codes should I refer before going into analysis of this deposits ? What analysis are recommended for these deposits ? Inspection Engineer BE (Metallurgy) ASNT Level II RT,LPT,MPT HPL, India

Hi, You can refer API 660. But deposit analysis is a pure judgemental job under consultation with process engrs/ chemical treatment agencies and process conditions. Also discuss with your process counterparts for the most wanted and least wanted species. regard >Can anybody please guide me on the following issue.
