Does anyone have experience or a reference on the comparative corrosion reisistance of Type 2 or Type7 Titanium to Inconel 625 and 686? The service is 20% CaCl2 Brine at 180 deg F, at a ph of 1-3. Trace elements of ferric and cupric chloride are found, with occasional HF.

Bob: Your application appears to be very application specific, and in circumstances as yours, corrosion coupon testing is recommended, as literature references to your specific process are limited. David Hendrix The Hendrix Group Inc.
