Dear all, For SA 240 Gr. 304, maximum amount of carbon that can be present is 0.08%. What is the minimum in this case?

Dear Sharjeel This is the maximum tolerable %C without harming corrosion resistance. Normally minimum limit is unspecified. It depends upon user to specify %C w.r.t. mechanical strength. U can consider 0.03% carbon as minimum limit as this is the maximum limit for 304L grade. regards
