(1) You can calculate MRT ( minimum remaining thickness ) as per equation laid down in API 653 para 4.4.7.1. (2) Next you decide your retirment thickness as per your company procedure or Table 6-1 of API 653 whichever is suitable (3) Corresponding Remaining Life = [ ( Last Measured Thickness ) - Retirement Thickness ] / Higher of Assessed Corrosion rate This is a way forward. May not be 100% full proof. Other experts may please suggest.
