A situation arises -pitting of SS 410 cladding has occured of a old vessel and the depth of pits are substantial, nearing the Carbon steel shell. It is not feasible to carry out weld build ups apprehending the weldability of the clad section. Is there any cold weld material (max operating temp of vessel is 350DegC) which can be used in place of SS410 weld build ups.

Arnab Diamant Metallplastic GMBH - supplies cold weld materials standing to 500 deg cent and 500 bars. Please see their site : www.grpengineers.com/coldwelding.htm for further information on products available and cost and availability. There are other suppliers also who give cold weld compounds standing to 400 deg cent. Off hand i do not remember the sites to suggest.
