We all r using LPR probe in aq. Conductive phase like water to measure the running corrosion rate by it’s operating principle. But to my understanding the LPR projected corrosion rate reflects general corrosion rate and LPR probe cant discriminate between General and Pitting Corrosion rate. AM I CORRECT ? If I am correct – does anybody has any operating experience giving any alternate solutions like integrating ECN ( electrochemical noise) probe with LPR which can categorically identify pitting index/ corrosion due to DO or otherwise. Pl. share

We have LPR probes on tower water systems which mesure general corrosion and also pitting tendency. lm

dear lima, (1) can u provide me the make, model, capacity , span of the type of LPR u have used ? (2) Are u measuring pitting tendency by simple LPR probe by qualitative current/voltage imbalance or u have attached any 3rd party gadget for quantitative pitting evaluation (3) what is ur opinion or experience on ECN inputs with LPR ? pl. regards
