What is slude profile???? Are you talking about the liquid level in the tank????

It is to measure the Sludge height and liquid interface.

I donot have any experience. But as an idea you can try for some Laser Optical Flat Probe which can be released on the Liquid Top Level and can be programmed to scroll round in a helix pitch the entire Liquid surface and can collect Sludge height differentials over the entire Tank Bottom and later the probe can be retrieved out by some remote sensing mechanism. This is just an idea and please try to contact some Laser Vendor who may be able to help you. In case any development in this regard kindly keep me posted. Others may pl. contribute. regards Debasis Mitra Debasis.Mitra@hpl.co.in

Not really sure what you are after, but if it is the liquid level in the tank thermography will tell you that. Scott
