I need a discussion and opinion. Few experts believe (SRB) has nothing to do with reservoir but at the same time few experts are very rigid and stringent about SRB population of Injection Water ( which is used in the oil reservoir for ratificial lift of oil ) with NIL SRB before innjection water gets inside the reservoir. It is believed by the 2nd group of experts that a single count of SRB even can make reservoir environment sour. I need your support and share for commonly used industrial practises comfortably followed here and safe benchmarking of SRB MPN (most probable number ) to be used in Injection water.
