Dear Experts This is an query regarding fin fan cooler header box.In API 661 it is mentioned "All carbon steel and AlloY steel headers shall be subjected to post weld heat treatment.Welded tube-to-tubesheet joints shall be excluded from PWHT" This means irrespective of service ,thickness all header box shall be post weld heat treated. I would like to know the reason for the same. Regards
