Krish CECRI (Cenral Electro Chemical Research Institute - a CSIR laboratory) Karaikkudi , Taml Nadu offers full time course for degree level on corrosion science and technology for the last couple of years. It is recognized by AICTE and other foreign engineering colleges for M.S / PhD work on corrosion science. You can contact them at their Chennai laboratory or at Karaikkudi CECRI Labroatory or you can see the web site for CECRI Karikaudi under CSIR Laboratories. You will get more information on diploma and P.G diploma courses. I am not sure if the corrosin science courses cover basic metallurgy and material scicence for degeee level. You can also contact TCR Institute for Materials Technology in Navi Mumbai. Visit www.tcreng.com to know more. They do run programs on corrosion studies and metallography albeit these are non diploma classes.
