I hope someone can help me out! We have a Regen waste tank from a water treatment plant (it contains a hot lime softener and WAC vessels). The fluid to the tank contains up to 7% HCl and 5% NaOH at 90C-100C. The rest of the fluid is boiler feed water. Due to the regeneration cycles, the tank could have any combination of the three components. Therefore I need a material that can withstand both 7% HCl and 5% NaOH at boiling temperatures. We specified Hastelloy B-3 for the internals but we cannot source this material. Does anyone have any suggestions for alternate materials???

Jwong Hastelloy B / B1 will have good resistance for the descirbed service duties. If procurement of Hastelloy B 3 is a problem, Hastelloy B or B1 may comparatively be available in the market.
