Dear members, Is there any special care to be taken while selecting material for transporting dry Oxygen in atmosphere condition.Can we use A106 Gr.B material? krish

Yes there are special precauctions. Typically carbon steel has velocity limits in oxygen service. See CGA publication G-4.4. I believe the most recent version relaxes the velocity limitations for carbon steel in oxygen service at very low pressures. A key for oxygen piping is cleanliness. Meticulous procurement, fabrication, installation, cleaning and inspection are mandatory to remove combustibles and particles from the pipe wall.
